A Transformed Life – Knows the Real Enemy.

2 Corinthians 2: 11
..so that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes.

Your knowledge of the enemy will determine your wins or losses in battle.

Take time to assess the nature of the warfare you are engaged in. What are the repetitive tendencies that keep recurring in your life?

A tour guide was taking us through Kruger National Park in South Africa, when my daughter after a long drive through the Wild park turned to me and said, “Dad are we going to see some lions?”

After a pause, the guide jumped to respond to what I thought was a million dollar question.

Oh no, the guide responded, this time of the day you are guaranteed to see impalas, elephants, hyenas, rhinos, buffalos, and few others, but no lions. To which we all asked – why? We all wanted to see the KING of the jungle!

Seeing the disappointment on our faces, the guide pulled over and began to explain something that changed me forever.

He said “Lions are not the fastest or strongest animals in the animal kingdom, yet they are very smart and strategic. They hunt their prey after lunch, because after a big meal at home, usually your body slows you down and feel a bit sleepy.

Lions do not expend their energy chasing their prey. The most vulnerable moment for animals is when they are full. That’s the time when lions catch their feed.

Ladies and gentlemen, the devil was defeated by Jesus Christ on the cross. But it is crucial that you understand, the devil is not yet dethroned. Defeated yes but not yet dethroned. Our warfare demands knowledge.
Know your enemy. Study his tricks and habits.

DECLARATIONS
– I am not ignorant of the enemy’s devices.
– I am victorious in warfare because the Lion of Judah won for me.

PRAYER
Thank you Lord that I wage war against an already defeated foe. I fight FROM not FOR victory. I continue to be vigilant and maintain the advantage you won for me at Calvary. Amen.
