At the beginning of 2020, God gave us as a church the theme : THE YEAR TO BUILD. Little did we know there was more to this theme than we anticipated. Our goal was to build in every area of our lives, but I daresay the focus was on perhaps the more obvious things, like building ourselves financially and working towards owning our building, building our emotional and spiritual fortitude and growing as a church family.
But here we are, only in the first quarter of the year with a global crisis on our hands and it becomes increasingly clearer to me that our highest call is to build an immunity against viruses that threaten to harm our spiritual strength and focus.
In Isaiah 41:10 God says,
FEAR NOT says the Lord – why? For I am with you. He promises us that in a time of fear, He is WITH US. Do not be dismayed. Dismay happens when the unexpected befalls us, and each morning we wake up to new updates and reports that threaten to take away our basic freedoms because of the pandemic we are currently facing. God is saying – do not be dismayed, this might surprise you, but it does not surprise me.
He then promises us STRENGTH – to endure – HELP – to push through confusion and push past our inabilities, and He promises to uphold us, elevate us, lift us up – ABOVE THE STORM, ABOVE THE CRISIS.

DECLARATIONS
– I am building my spiritual immunity in these trying times
– I am covered by Christ blood in this crisis, no evil will befall me or come near my dwelling
– I am strengthened, I am protected and uplifted by God’s righteous hand.
PRAYER
Lord, thank you for your promises. I will never be left alone because you are with me, I will not be dismayed because You are my God. I receive today, your strength, your help and soar with you over this crisis in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
