The journey of faith child of God, requires you to be vigilant and alert. It is not enough just to know your enemy, it is critical to know the weapons he uses against you.
Hebrews 10:36-37 says – For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.
One of Satan’s main weapons against the believer in warfare is DELAY.
From the time you receive God’s promise over your life, be it healing, deliverance, breakthrough in any area of your life. Usually it’s not a lack of faith issue at first for many believers, but it’s being steadfast to the end wth the same level faith.
Here is an example, the eleven disciples on that fretful night, thought they were perishing and saw Jesus walking towards them like a ghost. They all heard the word from Jesus shouting – COME.
But it was Peter who acted on what he heard and left the comfort of the boat to go to Jesus.
Allow me to translate and call the distance between the boat and where Jesus was, THE DELAY GAP. That gap in between had winds, unstable stormy sea and darkness.
Peter started well but in the middle, it seems like Jesus was now taking His – Sweet – Precious – Time walking s…l…o…w…l…y.
The Delay Gap has caused many to give up.
– The Marriage delay gap has caused many to give up on God.
– The job delay gap has left many depressed and suicidal.
The breakthrough promised delay gap has caused MANY to give up!
In that gap the enemy started whispering in Peter’s ears – Mr Fisherman look left and right because you are done, yes you are sinking. Guess what…it says In Matthew 14:25-30,when He saw…. the wind, he was afraid.The Delay gap has two voices influencing you.
The voice of the enemy says, “are you sure you heard right?how come you left everyone behind?
There is also the voice of God whispering in your ears – “Come on my child, keep walking, Do not fear. I am with you keep focused on me.”
Be aware of the enemy’s tactics against you. Today stand strong in your faith but more than than stand loooong in faith. The world is full of great starters but very few finishers.
DECLARATIONS
– When My promise is delayed, I will hold on because it is not denied.
– I will hold on to what God said, despite what I see with my natural eyes.
